Goatbed, What Is This?

I just saw the video for the song "Monica" by Goatbed, which is a single off their new album, and I'm confused. Is it so cheesy it's funny? It is too cheesy to be good? It is just awful? How did it get to this? It's really 80s and really cheesy. It's synthed to death, and the cheesiest sounding synths I've ever heard, especially the horns. I've got it, it could be cool, if the synths didn't sound so cheesy. It's pretty bad, man, why? I could say they sold out and they did it because they are on a major label, but it's not like that. It's just too cheesy to be good and I love cheesy music. I'm so lost, Goatbed you've turned my world upside down. Also the music has gotten much more synth and less organic. The drums and the guitars aren't as all up in your business. I don't even know what else to say. If there was a way to make a confused face with regular text i'd make it. +_+, how about that?
