These things are supposed to be for saying your own opinion and stuff, so here it is.

This one thing has really been annoying me lately. There's those people who say, "There aren't any good rock bands past the 70's." These people happen to also be "classic rock" fans, and people who break out The Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band and call it good music are already a bit off on their musical opinions. What the hell is wrong with these people? I know exactly what, they don't give a damn about listening to good music. Do you honestly expect to turn on the TV or Radio and be inundated with fresh and interesting music? Was there a good music squad that came around in the 60's and 70's and passed out records? No there was not. People went out and supported these bands. They frequented the clubs, bought the latest singles. They just didn't sit around and dust off Nat King Cole records. Yet there's still these stupid people saying it's all downhill past the 70's when they're not even trying to find new music. Shut up until you actually care enough about music to pursue it.

Sorry, there might have been a bit of snob in there, but I just can't take it when people say that, it's totally ridiculous.

I completely agree with you, man. There's a plethora of GREAT bands/artists out there, today. All you have to do is look. I personally would point to: Radiohead, Wilco, Modest Mouse, Interpol, The Arcade Fire, The Flaming Lips, Rilo Kiley, The White Stripes, The Strokes, Belle and Sebastian, Spoon, Gorillaz, Beck, Broken Social Scene, and the list goes on. I would argue that this decade could be as good as the 1960s, in quality and quantity if not in innovation. Sigh. Word, Krsna.
