Merry
Remember my first post? Probably not, but I posted a picture of the lead singer of Merry, Gara. Now it's time a for band profile featuring Merry.
Formed in 2001 the group consists of Gara - Vocals, Yuu - Guitar, Kenichi - Guitar, Tetsu - Bass and Nero - Drums. The music is usually very upbeat and almost always rocking quite a bit. Slow songs or atmospheric songs don't really happen. Each song usually has a strong guitar melody and slightly offset rhythm, due to their drummer who rarely plays in a simple fashion. The really like the way Gara sings. He has an airy voice that seems on the edge of going out, but it never does.
The song I choose from them is a B-side, it's called R-246, which is a highway leading out of Tokyo, I believe. A mid-tempo song with a guitar melody that I love. At first I thought this song was ok, but with more listens it really grew on me.
