Opera 9 Beta 1
I don't know if you've heard of the Opera browser, but I've known about it for a while. I used it once, ages ago, and didn't really care for it; the current Beta release of Opera is pleasing my humours quite a bit, though. Let's compare it for Firefox.
In Common to Firefox:
-Tabbed Browsing
-Search Bar
-Saved Passwords
-Better Security than Internet Explorer
-Skins
Differences:
-Slower than Firefox(But not dramtically so)
-Uses Less RAM, a lot less
-OSX-esque Widgets(kind of neat)
-Lacks add-ons
-Integrated Torrenting
There's more stuff, but that's a quick run-down. I'm hoping a final release will work out some kinks, such as trouble adding more search engines to the search bar, but the smaller footprint(amount of RAM used) and the similar features to Firefox make it a winner in my book.
