It's International Women's Day?
It is, but I haven't heard anything about it. Turns out it is not a holiday in the US. Apparently it's really popular in Russia and the former Eastern Block countries. That leads to this really fantastic poster from the Soviet Union, dated 1932.
It says "8th of March is the day of the rebellion of the working women against the kitchen slavery" and "Down with the oppression and narrow-mindedness of the household work!" Say it Soviet Union, say it.

I have a really awesome t-shirt with an old Soviet propaganda poster on it. It's way too big for me though - it was given to my dad by our Ukranian neighbor who immigrated as the USSR collapsed. He and his brother screenprinted the shirts by hand using some old posters they found. It's my absolute favorite shirt, the poster is fantastic.
