2046

I suppose the immediate reaction to watching the film has been a bit diluted, it was a whole 4 days ago, but I did really enjoy the film. It got some lukewarm reviews, but I thought it was excellent. There's plenty of little bits for film buffs to notice stylistically but the film makes most of its impact through the story. There was something very human about the whole thing, I really sympathized with the characters. I suppose I can't describe it very well, but I thought it was very beautiful.

One note about the film, people say it's a "loose" sequel to In The Mood for Love, but I would suggest watching that film along with 2046. There's plenty of thematic and stylistic parallels and also it might help people understand the story.
