The BBC has worked with the photographer Karoki Lewis and Grant Gordon, narrator, to make this neat slideshow. It chronicles a trip to this religious even in India, where a massive statue of Bahubali, ancient spiritual teacher, is drenched with milk, sugar cane juice and so on. It's an event for people of Jain faith, which seems something like Buddhism, but not quite. Either way the slide show is rather neat, great pictures with some interesting narration from Grant Gordon and people taking place in the ceremony. Worth a look.

Definately not thought provoking content, but it's hilarious.

Valentine's Day

Conversion about heart shapes pizzas on the way back from Papa Romanos:

Sister: "I don't think it looks as good with Pepperonis."
Me: "But the color is more Valentine's Day-esque, the red and such."
Sister: "Yeah, but it breaks up the heart."
Me: "Well, that's what half of Valetine's Day is about anyway."

The Pizzas were delicous, I certainly wouldn't recommend it as a romantic guesture, kind of half assed don't you think? Great for laughs though. Flowers are usually a winner.

Writing

First, I don't always have computer access, especially on the weekends, so don't expect a quick response on those comments. I'll get to them though, don't worry.

Second, is some imposter using my SN? Aim express said so, but I don't believe it. Either way, be weary if you do see me on AIM.

Third, we so know which holiday is around the corner. I'll make a proper post for it, probably the day of, wait day before. All I'm saying now is, look at this triumph of mankind. If other people get this, take a picture please.

Why We Fight

I was interested in the synopsis I read for this film, and just now I watched the trailer. I have a feeling it's one of those documentaries that touches on what you already know, then just ends up disgusting you by showing it's much worse than you believe. The main focus is the use of American military power, or more so the misuse. I'd like to see it.

I would have liked to have had a repaired computer returned to my house by this time but I have no such luck. A new motherboard was installed and then my computer promptly short-circuited it. Which means it destroyed yet another motherboard. This means I need a new computer. When that will happen, I don't know. I don't expect that to be soon. I'll try to post in the meantime, but also not to be expected.

I think so.

I think that women believe that men have much higher standards than they really do.
A woman doesn't have to be in ridiculously good shape, or have the perfect proportions to appeal to men.

Eh, never adds up.

Spring.

7. How important is quiet to you?
Really important.

8. Assisted suicide?
I can understand why someone would want to have it done and I don't have the right to say a person should suffer.

9. How do you feel about the growing popularity of digital music purchasing?
I don't think the tangible album is going away anytime soon, so I'm for it, right now.

10. How much do you cater yourself to other people?
I believe, not that much. I certainly don't change my views to go along with another person. I'll always be against drinking, even if I'm in a room full of drunk people and etc.

11. If you could live the life of any fictional character, whose would you pick and why?
Man, that's tough. A vampire. I'm sure after some years it would be horrible, but living through history, that has the potential to be fascinating. Plus, it seems to be a very urge driven life, which would be very different. Something I would never do in real life.

12. Can something ever be too funky?
Music can never be too funky, just not possible. Good call on the smells, though.

13. Your OJ, pulp or no pulp?
Lots of pulp. The Tropicana Groovestand is the best.

14. What's unstoppable? Name one thing.
Time, in the perceived sense.

15. Are traditional male roles for courtship still relevant/important today?
It's not as practical. A man can't pay for everything these days, but I think being a gentlemen is very important.

1 Year Anniversary

This day, one year ago, I started this very blog. The first post, well first two, three, weren't the best, but I think I've progressed. Let me look over my achievements.

Things kind of went downhill after the first questionnaire, but I still thought they were pretty decent.

It was really easy to do actually, but I still liked posting Family Guy screen shots and such.

Mostly my picture of the Hiroshima/Nagasaki cranes. I think it's a pretty decent picture.

Thought I might have given up somewhere in there, but it still entertains me. *High Fives Blog*

Dissapointments

- Never finding out who that anonymous poster was. Seriously, who are you? Is it this person from New York? Hey, it's cool, you can say who you are, or just be "Yeah, I was the person that gave you that Buzzcocks song recommendation and told you that Black Eyed Susans were pretty." A first name is fine, as long as I find out if I know you or not.

- Boring posts
I can't always be on my A game, but I still don't care for maybe a 1/3 of my posts.
